Chevy Dealer in Fort Worth Anticipates Arrival of 2011 Chevy Volt
Jerry’s Chevrolet, serving Fort Worth Chevrolet customers, recently announced plans to debut the new 2011 Chevy Volt at its Fort Worth Chevy dealership later this year.
The 2011 Chevrolet Volt is a revolutionary four-door hybrid vehicle that uses a battery for shorter trips and a flex-fuel powered engine for travel beyond. Depending on variables like weather, the electrical features in use and consumer driving style, the Volt can travel up to 40 miles on the electricity stored in the battery —completely free of gas and emissions.
The gas-powered, range-extending engine then takes over to provide electrical power for up to 300 additional miles of travel. With this system in place, Volt’s range is limitless, because it can be powered by gas until the Volt can be plugged back in.

With hybrid vehicles offering a 40-mile range, three-fourths of the country would be able to commute cleanly, efficiently and affordably. If that electricity is generated using wind, water, solar or biofuels, the overall of impact of travel can be significantly reduced. Advancements in electricity production coupled with the use of electricity-powered vehicles have the potential to make the world a much cleaner place.
